With over 25 years of extensive experience in the accounting and finance industry, Faisal Sid is a seasoned professional committed to excellence and innovation. His distinguished career spans 15 years as a company accountant, where he developed deep expertise in corporate finance and accounting practices. Following this, he dedicated 10 years to practice accounting, offering personalized financial solutions to a diverse range of clients.
In 2014, Faisal embarked on his journey as a practice accountant, bringing his wealth of corporate experience to benefit individual and business clients alike. By 2016, he joined the esteemed Smarter Advisory & Accounting network, recognizing the platform’s potential to make a significant impact. Acquiring a franchise in the vibrant suburb of Blacktown, he operated under the name Smarter Advisory & Accounting Blacktown. Through his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment, Faisal propelled the franchise to new heights, enhancing its reputation and market presence.
In 2024, acknowledging his hard work, exceptional performance, and dedication, the Head Office, represented by Roger Booker, offered Faisal the opportunity to take over the entire Smarter Advisory & Accounting network. Embracing this pivotal role, he accepted the offer and now serves as the Managing Director. Under his strategic guidance, the network aims to ascend to unprecedented levels of success, aspiring to become a leading accounting franchise rivaling the industry’s foremost firms.

Meet Roger Booker
Founding Partner
Roger describes himself as an Anglo-German Kiwi-Aussie, who’s been shot at by Russians, rescued off of a cliff and fallen under a train (and survived). He started off life as a Mechanical Engineer, and suffered the long and slippery slope of: Mechanical Engineering > Cost Engineering > Cost Accounting > Management Accounting. He qualified as a CIMA member a long time ago and at 28 he was the senior financial manager in a major grain trading business in the City of London, then retiring to New Zealand at 30 to avoid moving to Geneva.
Buy him a beer and he’ll bore you comatose with simple lessons on how to turn ailing businesses around, how budgets are obsolete and how trend analysis is the key in business finances.
His hobbies include: Rock’n’Roll, gardening, wine and cooking (his favourite styles of cooking include: English, German, Mexican & Spanish Tapas).

Meet Roger Booker
Founding Partner
Steve Nolan almost became a priest and he still has numerous family members within the Catholic Church. As well as being a superb accountant, he also is a member of a consortium, which owns a considerable number of pubs across the country. He is also a software explorer of the highest renown.
His hobbies include: Bad one-line jokes, keeping his wife amused, walking long, long hiking tracks and of course, wine.
Meet Leo Kwan, St Albans & Inthi Param, Doncaster
Originally from a city near Shanghai, Leo set up a business with a series of Chinese massage parlours, but sold one to buy into this network. He has developed a vast network of clients through networking. Leo’s hobbies include: his family, enjoying good company and good wine.
A CIMA / CPA from Sri Lanka, Inthi has developed a practise focused on high net worth professional clients. Inthi’s hobbies centre around cooking for family and friends.

Mario has the loudest laugh in the network. He operates a specialty practise focused on turning tradies into millionaires through a career pathway that works. He is also a property developer and part owner of numerous small businesses. His hobbies centre around his 4 children.
